A group of two bankers boxes; filled to the brim with scores of press clippings all related to the star; from Monroe's own personal files, the collection includes complete articles as well as brief tidbits from newspapers and magazines all over the world (though most are American publications); most were sent to Monroe from the various professional press clipping services she used (as noted by their telltale red wax pencil annotations), but a number of clippings were sent to her by press agents, managers, and friends; ranging in date from 1953 to 1961, this large and comprehensive grouping of articles about the star allow us to trace her day-to-day activities for most of her professional career; in addition, many display candid paparazzi images of the star that have not been seen since their publication dates over 60 years ago; the majority of this information (albeit minutiae) about her is available no where else other than in an impressive collection such as this -- please note there is no way our illustration here could ever do this lot justice!
