A group of six papers from Strasberg's own files; all relating to the eulogy he wrote for Marilyn's August 8, 1962 funeral which took place in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles; the first is a single page of half-typed and half-penned text in blue ballpoint ink, the written section starts with the part of the eulogy that reads "I am only sorry that the public who loved her / did not have the opportunity to see her as we / did," and ends with its last part of "I cannot say goodbye. Marilyn never liked / goodbyes...;" the second is two pages, stapled together, and is typed text of the entire eulogy; the third is a single page of onion skin paper, typed with plans to create a "fund" or "lasting memorial" for the star at the Actors Studio; the fourth is a single page, typed, with the same information as #3; the fifth is a mimeograph copy of the eulogy that ran in the "Thursday August 9, 1962" issue of The New York Herald Tribune; and the sixth is an oversized folded piece of paper with a mimeographed image of the "Tuesday, August 7, 1962" front page of the same newspaper.
