This is a pink denim two-piece shirt and pant ensemble, designed by Dexter Wong, from the collection of Boy George. The ensemble was worn on the album cover Colour by Numbers, and worn several times by Boy George in the 1980s, specifically in September for a televised performance of “Mister Man” and “Victims,” on December 12,1983.

The pink ensemble Wong designed was worn on the cover of Culture Club's Colour by Numbers album, released on October 10, 1983. The record sold over 10 million copies, charting at #1 in the U.K. and #2 in the U.S. on the Billboard 200. Boy George when he appeared on the U.K. show The Tube, speaking about the band's second album, he explained, “The next album is going to prove that we’re very musical. It’s a lot more mature and sophisticated… We work very closely with [producer] Steve Levine, who is almost the fifth member of Culture Club.” 

The ensemble features an over-sized pink denim work shirt with button-up front and leather rectangle appliques throughout paired with a matching pants, high waisted, dropped inseam, with baggy legs that taper in at the ankle. The ensemble was designed by Dexter Wong, who designed several ensembles and stage worn costumes for Boy George in 1983.
