The black wool cap is entirely covered in vintage multicolored buttons. The interior is lined in burgundy and features a brand label marking it as made in Britain. The visor includes a hidden snap button that secures it overlapping fabric.

These caps were made for the show and some for friends. Both John Galliano and close friend John Flett wore them.

Boy George has been a collector and admirer of John Galliano’s early work in the 1980’s. Specifically collections that featured New Romantic designs. During an interview with Julien’s Auction he said, “if I watch a fashion show, in the like, my favorite fashion is John Galliano because they’re so theatrical because that’s what it is.”
