A garment made of chocolate brown silk; floor-length, big slit up center, heavily adorned with same-color bugle beads, sequins and other beading in a slightly lighter color make up a trim which ends in four long dangling strands at front, spaghetti straps form a criss-cross on chest; bodysuit sewn into interior; back zip-up and hook-and-eye closure; label reads “Elizabeth Courtney / Costumes Hollywood”; together with an ornate matching jacket with stunning floor-length kimono sleeves; worn by the star to the 17th Annual Grammy Awards on March 1, 1975 in NYC; then worn on the late night NBC Television series when she performed the song, “Steppin' Out"; further worn onstage by the star in one of her many live performances as well as in photo shoots; please note this gown is quite heavy due to its elaborate beading.
