Universal, 1966. A signed self portrait of Alfred Hitchcock, which he composed in 1965 while scouting locations for Torn Curtain Trelleborg's harbor in Sweden. The portrait and signature are written in black felt-tip pen ink on the back of a customs form for goods left behind due to import bans. The consignor's father, a Customs Officer, asked for Hitchcock's autograph during his visit.Hitchcock was certainly in Trelleborg on Sunday, November 7, 1965. A Swedish article in the anniversary book Trelleborg 750, written by one of Hitchcock's companions on the trip, mentions the director's visit to the harbor, and his composition of this portrait for the consignor's father. The article states:   “At Hitchcock's suggestion, we wandered to Travemündeallén. A couple of customs officers took the opportunity to get Alfred Hitchcock's autograph, as did some travelers.” (p. 60).Accompanied by the book Trelleborg 750.
