A gray porkpie hat with a purple hatband and bow owned by Buster Keaton. The hat was later gifted to American actor and comedian Chuck McCann, who worked with and befriended Keaton during multiple appearances on The Garry Moore Show (CBS, 1950-1967).The hat shows some light wear from use and age. The inner brown sweatband is marked “Dobbs Fifteen” and “Bullock's Store for Men Los Angeles.”Chuck McCann briefly discussed the hat in a podcast interview with Gilbert Gottfried, first released on February 6, 2015, stating, "I have [Buster's] hat. Eleanor, his wife, used to make all of his hats. She would take a fedora and then cut it down...and flatten the brim and make the porkpie hat." (Eleanor Norris was Keaton's wife from 1940 until his death in 1966.)
