Together with a typed letter to the buyer of the bag from Ball, signed in blue ballpoint pen ink on her personal stationery, dated January 27, 1987, with original postmarked envelope addressed to Ball. The letter reads:“Yes, this is my bag – I gave it to a Charity auction some long time ago, don't even remember which charity. It's nice to know who has it now. Appreciate your kind words. It makes me happy to know you and your family have enjoyed my shows. Thanks for writing. Love, Lucy.”Please note: The interior of the purse exhibits cracking.
