A blue three-ring binder with a Universal Studios label taped to the front, which features the following typed text: “'JAWS' / VERNA FIELDS: EDITOR'S LINED SCRIPT / ACT: III.” Verna Fields served as the Editor for the blockbuster classic Jaws (Universal, 1975), and won the Academy Award for Best Editing for her work on the film.Inside the binder is a collection of various documents from the production the film. These documents include:-A copy of an interoffice memo from Jim Elkin to Bob Faber on February 7, 1975 regarding sound effects notes for the film's trailer.-A handwritten reel-to-footage breakdown labeled as “HORN ON JAWS.”-A typed three-page 14-reel scene description breakdown with handwritten notations throughout.-Four copies of handwritten notes on lined paper regarding editing, reshoots, inserts, and other post-production items.The majority of the pages inside the binder have been preserved in modern protective sleeves.From the personal collection of a member of the film's post-production team.
