The Auction Commemorating the 100th Birthday of a Hollywood Icon

Marilyn Monroe is arguably one of the world’s most recognizable figures. Even if you’ve never seen one of her movies, you know her face. You’ve seen it on magazine covers, posters, coffee mugs, t-shirts, handbags, and almost any other product conceivable. As her popularity and legacy expands into the 21st century, Julien’s Auctions is thrilled to be celebrating what would have been her centennial birthday this June, 2026, with an auction titled “100 Years of Marilyn.”

Our sale will be filled with countless never-before-seen photographs and slides of the star, as well as rare and hard-to-find images hidden for decades. There will also be a number of lots directly from her Estate - items she personally owned, touched, and used, including pieces from her last residence in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.

A number of Marilyn’s personal make-up products will be on offer as well – a subject that continues to fascinate a new generation of TikTokers as many try to recreate her flawless look on their social media accounts, seeking out the same techniques and brands that she herself used over 60 years ago.

Julien’s will also be offering many items featuring the star’s own handwriting including an annotated script from her last unfinished film, “Something’s Got to Give,” an early 1949 signed contract from the William Morris Agency, a recipe for stuffing, and a few black and white snapshots she autographed for lucky fans, to name a few.
