A Cartier straw and leather handbag with an adjustable curb chain shoulder strap belonging to Elizabeth Taylor. Taylor was photographed with this bag multiple times on the Night of the Iguana set on September 27, 1963, and January 1, 1964, leaving the Edward Hotel in Toronto, Canada, with Richard Burton, who was en route to the airport on January 29, 1964.
The bag has a woven straw exterior with rolled leather piped edges, an expandable leather gusset, and a center compartment with a framed hinged clasp closure fully lined with leather. This unique design features a rectangular shape, three compartments, two open pockets, and a clasp-closed center compartment. The central compartment features open and flap pockets and a separate snape coin purse. There is a gold leaf Cartier London Ltd. stamp on the interior.
This lot comes with Christie's lot hang stages from "The Collection of Elizabeth Taylor" sale.
For the film premiere of The Night of the Iguana, August 11, 1965, Burton gifted Taylor the famous The Night of the Iguana Brooch (A Dimond, Sapphire, and emerald "Dolphine" Brooch) designed by Jean Schlumberger, Tiffany & Co.

An Hermes 2017 orange Picotin in clemence leather with paladium plated lock. A supple bright orange unstructured top handle bag with a footed bag. The bag is in lined with a suede interior and a clemence leather base. The bag has smooth finished edges and rounded corners at the base for a relaxed bag shape. At the interior base of the bag is a silver-tone foil branded stamp with country of manufacture. The Picotin premiered in 2002 and references horse feed bags with its open top that is adjustable with a sliding pull and the the weighted padlock at the end. Lot come with an Hermes orange felted drawstring dustbag. Bag shows light wear at the corners and at the base feet hardware. Metal hardware was tested on KEE gold tester, identifying the metal hardware as plated palladium.

A 2013 Chanel white caviar leather 2.55 Jumbo Double flap with silver-tone hardware handbag. Signature diamond quilted matelasse grained caviar leather with silver-tone hardware. Bag features the logo turlock closure at the front as well as adjustable woven chain/leather straps. The interior is lined with matching white leather with multiple internal compartments. There is an internal flap closure with an embroidered "CC" monogram on the underside of the flap. The bag comes with a card of authenticity as well as a numerical hologram sticker dating bag production 2013-14. Chanel premiered the iconic 2.55 design in February 1955. When Lagerfeld became the creative director in 1982 he updated the heritage designs with logos and insignia that have become coveted by brand admirers as well as timeless. The bag comes with a Chanel box including packaging: tissue, ribbon, and paper Camellia.

An Hermes Framboise Matte Alligator, Togo Leather 30 cm Birkin with palladium plated hardware limited edition from 2021. The bag has its original packaging: box, dustbags, care book, and Birkin raincoat. The hardware still has the protective plastics.
The signature designs includes a flap, expandable gusset, a turn lock closure, and four feet at the base. The interior is line with matching chevre leather with a blind stamp at the interior of the bag.
The Birkin premiered in 1984 and was designed by Jean-Louis Dumas, who created and named this iconic bag for and after Jane Birkin. While traveling on a plane with Dumas, Jane had her signature pannier basket, which fell from the overhead bin, spilling its contents. Dumas began designing a bag for the French actress on the flight, with the first designs being drawn on an air sickness bag. The coveted bag was designed after the house's first handbag the Haute A Courroies (HAC) designed to carry equestrian equipment and sporting attire. The Birkin inherited its predecessor's trapezoid shape, flap, and expandable gusset.
Metal hardware was tested on KEE gold tester, identifying the metal hardware as plated gold.

A Louis Vuitton 2010 Takashi Murakami monogram, black and multi-color, Donna MM bag designed during Marc Jacobs's tenure as creative director. The bag is painted monogram canvas with multi-color insignia against black. The bag has vachetta leather trim, handles, and closure with goldtone hardware, link chain straps, turn lock closure, and stud work. The Interior is fully lined with Alcantara microfiber.
Takashi Murakami began collaborating with Louis Vuitton in 2002, introducing whimsical characters against the design house's monogram or colorway variations to the monogram print. Murakami's collaboration with Vuitton is one of the longest artist-branded partnerships. Recently, in 2024, Murakami collaborated with Louis Vuitton on re-editions of the early 2000s print with Zendaya as the face of the campaign, styled by Law Roach.
