The original "Joker" game board from the long-running game show The Price is Right (CBS, 1972 - Present), together with a deck of 28 oversized playing cards used in the game as well as the game "Hit Me" on the show.
The "Joker" game is constructed out of a wooden base on wheels, with a wooden center stand leading up to the large circular play board. The play board features the title of the game above it spelled out with each letter on a card-sized shape. The center of the play board identifies five slots (numbered 1-5) with corresponding cards underneath, with an acrylic display shelf underneath. Please note: a clean break is present at the lower right corner of the acrylic display shelf, but the piece is present. Handwritten on the back of the game are two inscriptions: "BUILT WITH PRIDE BY DAVE 7-23 / WITH AN ASSIST BY JIM" and "Plexi shelf replaced 1-19-04 / over ten years of good service!" The oversized cards are comprised of cardboard and feature numerals and suits of a regular deck of cards, with a navy-blue “The Price is Right” logo at center and a repeating motif of their stylized dollar signs on the verso.
The "Joker" was played on The Price is Right from 1994 – 2007, as well as on prime time specials of the program, The Price Is Right $1,000,000 Spectacular, which offers enhanced prizes and the chance to win a million dollars. "Hit Me" was played from 1980 – 2006, as well as on The Price Is Right $1,000,000 Spectacular.
