In an exclusive sit-down interview with Julien’s Studios, Sarna dished on the day she received the call that would change her life. Motown summoned her to audition for Rick James' band. "You could just feel his energy and force,”
Sarna recalled of her first encounter with the "King of Punk Funk." “You couldn’t ignore it.” The connection was instant, the chemistry undeniable. Her audition happened on a Thursday, and by Saturday she was on stage performing with James on "Soul Train." The rest, as the saying goes – is history.
