Sneaker culture may have an ever-growing list of legendary enthusiasts that changed what a shoe could mean. Michael Jordan made them status. Run-D.M.C. made them identity. And somewhere in the mid-2000s, Marshall Mathers made them mythology.

A selection of Eminem’s vast sneaker collection is now coming to auction through Julien's Auctions with over 100 lots of signed pairs, and all proceeds benefiting the Marshall Mathers Foundation, the charitable organization established by Eminem to help disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Detroit and its surrounding communities. It is the largest single-sale sneaker collection tied to Eminem ever assembled for public auction. The highlights span two decades of his relationship with Nike and Jordan Brand, and together form as complete a picture of that partnership as has ever appeared in a single sale. For an icon as enigmatic as Eminem who rarely signs artifacts, the permanence of each pair having its own is a real treat for fans and bidders.

Jordan 4s

The centerpiece of the collection is a trio of Air Jordan 4 collaborations that collectively trace the arc of Eminem's most significant footwear partnership.

The 2017 "Encore" is the clearest expression of what that relationship meant. Produced in an extraordinarily limited run of just 23 pairs and distributed through a charitable campaign benefiting the Marshall Mathers Foundation, it revisited the original 2005 Encore colorway, retaining the blue, black, gray, and red scheme while incorporating subtle design updates. This pair, hand-signed in black marker and accompanied by its original box, shows a box label suggesting it may have originally been designated for NFL player Brian Mitchell. Estimate: $15,000 – $25,000.

The Carhartt collaboration pairs represent a different chapter. The triple collaboration brought together Eminem, Jordan Brand, and Carhartt, fusing Carhartt's Midwest work-wear identity in a Black Duck canvas with the Air Jordan 4 silhouette in a way that felt less like branding exercise and more like autobiography. Both pairs offered here are hand-signed in gold marker, accompanied by original boxes, and in as-new condition: one in Men's 11, one in Men's 10.

Estimate: $15,000 – $25,000 each

Super Bowl Threes

Two pairs of the Air Jordan 3 Slim Shady PE round out the Jordan Brand contingent. Created specifically for Eminem's appearance at Super Bowl LVI alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, the sneaker reimagines the classic Fire Red AJ3 with a white leather upper and elephant print overlays, incorporating deeply personal details: a "Slim Shady" heel tag, a reverse "E" branding element, Shady Records graphics, and custom tongue embroidery. Limited to just 25 production pairs, neither pair were ever intended for public release, and both are signed in black marker and remain in as-new condition: Men's 11.5 and Men's 10.5. Estimate:

$25,000 – $35,000 each.

Soundstorm Nikes

The only worn pair in the footwear highlights is a Nike Air Max 90 in White/Wolf Grey, stage-worn by Eminem at the MDLBEAST Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on December 12, 2024, then signed in black marker. His performance there represented one of the most significant moments in contemporary hip-hop's expansion into the Middle East. The shoes carry what no factory-fresh pair can: the residue of the stage and the performance.

Estimate: $8,000 – $12,000.

The Longer Line

The over 100 total footwear lots constitute something closer to an archive than a collection while existing as the most comprehensive single offering of Eminem material ever brought to public auction.

The Marshall Mathers Foundation has been working in Detroit for more than two decades, providing resources and opportunities to young people in communities that have frequently been overlooked. The sneaker artifacts being offered here are among the rarest produced across Eminem's entire cultural career, and the proceeds are going home.
