Julien’s Auctions and MusiCares® celebrate Mariah Carey and GRAMMY® Week with a star-studded charity auction of iconic music memorabilia.

Julien’s once again partnered with MusiCares® on a star‑studded charity relief auction celebrating the year’s most outstanding musical achievements. For more than 19 years, Julien’s and MusiCares® have joined forces on this highly anticipated Grammy® Week tradition.

Julien’s Auctions recently concluded a week of events in Los Angeles surrounding the 68th GRAMMY® Week, highlighted by the MusiCares® Person of the Year gala and our annual Charity Relief Auction. These events serve as a primary fundraising vehicle for MusiCares®, providing essential financial and health services to the music community.

Person of the Year: Mariah Carey

The week began on Friday with the celebration of Mariah Carey as the 2026 MusiCares® Person of the Year. The evening recognized her career achievements and her ongoing support for the Recording Academy’s philanthropic efforts. The event featured tribute performances and high-profile industry attendance, setting the stage for the subsequent auction.

Signed 1961 Ford Thunderbird Stage-Used In 2015-2017 "Mariah: Number 1 to Infinity" Las Vegas Residency

A custom-built 1961 Ford Thunderbird (butterfly car pedal piece; letter "R" piece; hood & trunk covers) from Mariah Carey's residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, entitled Number 1 to Infinity, a retrospective spectacle in which she performed all 18 of her US #1 hits in chronological order.

The Thunderbird has been repurposed into a stage prop, with the engine, transmission and all original mechanical parts removed. In its place, electric motors drive the vehicle at a low speed, and allow the Thunderbird to spin 360 degrees on-stage. The batteries that power the electric motor are located in the trunk. The vehicle features a custom cream-colored interior with the front passenger seat removed for ease of access. The Thunderbird started life as a hardtop and was turned into a convertible for stage use. There is not a functioning convertible top featured on this vehicle. Both the hood and the trunk lid, which are composed of fiberglass, have scratches and scuffs throughout from dancers utilizing the vehicle during performances.

The hood has been signed by Mariah in black sharpie.

Over the course of her 66 shows from May 2015 to May 2017, Mariah can be seen perched atop the car as she enters to perform her 1993 hit, "Dreamlover." She sings from the back seat of the vehicle before being helped out of it by a dancer. The car is then moved to the side of the stage, where two dancers mime cleaning it with rags before hopping up on the hood to dance to the remixed section of the song. Mariah is carried upstage for the conclusion of the song.

Mariah announced her residency during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying: "I'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars. This is a special event for me."

Auction Results and Key Lots

The official Charity Relief Auction took place on Sunday, featuring items donated by several of the industry's most prominent figures. The sale saw strong participation from international collectors, with several lots significantly exceeding their initial estimates.

Robert Smith & Olivia Rodrigo

2025 Glastonbury Stage-Played and Multi-Artist Signed Schecter Acoustic Guitar, Black and White Star Graphic

A Schecter Diamond Series Robert Smith RS-2000 Stage Artist Edition Acoustic Guitar, serial #CC191113496. This guitar was used by Robert Smith for his performance of The Cure songs “Friday I’m In Love” and “Just Like Heaven” with Olivia Rodrigo on June 29, 2025 at the Glastonbury festival.

It is signed in silver felt tip pen by both Olivia Rodrigo and Robert Smith as well as the rest of Olivia’s band, and it also has lyrics taped to the bass side of the body facing the player for easy reference. The signatures, taped lyrics, and “2020” written on the battery cover in silver felt tip pen can all be seen clearly in performance footage and photographs from the performance.

The Schecter RS-2000 features a 25.5 inch scale length neck with a 21 fret bound ebony fretboard, pearloid star and moon inlays, a bound headstock with a partial star cutout, and six chrome plated Grover tuners. The body has mahogany back and sides and a spruce top all bound in multi-ply black and white and finished in black with a white star graphic. It has a pearloid rosette and on-board electronics for plugged in play; two controls are taped off while the volume is left un-taped for adjustment. Includes a molded hardshell case with the guitar’s serial number written on it as well as “2020 Stage Acoustic,” one set of fresh D’Addario XT 12-53 strings, and a black strap.

Signed Lyric Book

A signed, hardcover edition of Grammy award winner Sir Paul McCartney's 2021 book of the year, The Lyrics: 1965 to Present (W.W. Norton, 2021) hand signed and personalized to the winning bidder.

A landmark publishing event featuring two volumes of McCartney's lyrics from his time before The Beatles and with The Beatles, as well as with Wings and during his solo career - 154 songs in all!

Included in the book is McCartney's commentary, never-before-seen photos, handwritten notes, art, and ephemera, all of which are part of his personal collection and are being offered for public view for the first time.

A 2016 Gibson B.B. King Lucille electric guitar, serial #10066722, in black finish. The guitar is signed by both Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars on the guitar’s top in silver felt tip pen. The B.B. King Lucille features a 24.75 inch scale length three piece maple neck with a bound 22 fret Richlite fretboard, mother of pearl block inlays, a seven ply bound headstock with gold plated Grover tuners and an engraved truss rod cover, plus mother of pearl Gibson and Lucille logo inlays. The semi-hollow body is constructed of maple ply with a solid center block, black pickup surrounds and control knobs, a bound plastic tortoise shell pickguard, and gold hardware including the Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and TP-6 fine tuner tailpiece. The guitar is equipped with a pair of 490 series pickups with gold plated covers wired to a three way selector switch, individual volume and tone controls, a six-position Varitone filter, and two output jacks for mono or stereo operation. Includes original Gibson hardshell case with B.B. King’s signature screen printed in gold on the lid.

A 2013 Gibson Custom Shop SG Q electric guitar, serial #CS301661, in Fire Tiger finish. The guitar has been signed by British pop singer Charli XCX on the top in silver felt tip pen. The SG Q features a 24.75 inch scale length one piece Honduran mahogany neck with a bound 22 fret ebony fretboard, mother of pearl Super 400 inlays, gold Grover tuners, and the Gibson custom split diamond veneer with mother of pearl inlays. The body is of one-piece Honduran mahogany with a 3/4” 5A quilt maple top finished in Fire Tiger, with black pickup surrounds, a white neck tenon cover, black and gold reflector knobs, and gold hardware for the pickup covers, ABR-1 bridge, and stop bar tailpiece. Equipped with a pair of Gibson ’57 Classic pickups wired to a three way toggle selector switch and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. Includes Gibson USA gig bag with white interior.

The guitar features a 24.75 inch mahogany neck with a bound 22 fret rosewood fretboard, pearloid dot inlays, six nickel plated Kluson Deluxe tuners, and mother of pearl Gibson logo and crown inlays on the headstock. The body features a sunburst-finished laminated maple top with maple back and sides, double binding, black plastics, reflector control knobs, and nickel plated Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. He has inscribed “Coldplay 2025” along with a heart and other doodles on the guitar’s top. Billie herself has extensively played this particular instrument in her backstage dressing room during her 2025 Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour; it was not used on stage. It features a 24.125 inch scale length tropical mahogany neck with a 20 fret Eucalyptus fretboard, dot inlays, nickel plated tuners, walnut back and sides, a spruce top finished in black, Eucalyptus bridge, and on-board Expression System 2 electronics. The guitar is heavily worn from play including nicks and dings throughout the neck and body, plus areas of wear from strumming on the bass and treble sides of the body.
