A group of two pieces; the first a postcard from Monaco, postmarked "4-4-1961," penned and signed "Cary G." in black ballpoint ink by the star to a friend named "Carroll Lyn;" the second a typed note on Faberge letterhead [Grant was a longtime spokesperson for the company] to the same woman, dated "12 May, 1981" and signed in black felt-tip ink "Cary;" also included is a 1987 letter from the star's widow thanking Lyn for her condolences after Grant's death.

Circa 1940s Hand-Made and Hand-Painted Plaster Duck Wall Art with Photo

A very rare one-of-a-kind plaster wall hanging of a duck in flight that was handmade and hand-painted by screen icon James Dean when he was a teenager and which has not previously been offered at auction. The back of the duck is handwritten in marker with the words "From James Dean boyhood home. Marcus D. Winslow." Winslow was Dean's uncle with whom he lived on a farm in Fairmount, Indiana following the death of his mother in 1940, when Dean was 9 years old. The duck was acquired from Winslow's son, Marcus Winslow, Jr.

Besides his success as an actor, Dean was interested in other forms of artistic expression, including painting and sculpting. This duck offers a unique example of his pre-fame creativity.

Together with a photograph of the duck hanging on Dean's bedroom wall in his boyhood home.

Accompanied a Letter of Authenticity from James Dean archivist, David Loehr.

Vestron Pictures, 1987; a classic black leather motorcycle jacket worn by the star as "Johnny Castle" in the beloved film that co-starred Jennifer Grey; also worn by Swayze in a number of promotional images for the film.

The jacket features exaggerated lapels, epaulettes, brass-tone hardware, an attached belt, and side lacing. A "Protech Leather Apparel" label is present. Size 40.

Swayze also wore the jacket as "Chuck 'Tiger' Warsaw" in the 1988 Sony Pictures drama "Tiger Warsaw" co-starring Piper Laurie.
