As the Grand Ole Opry celebrates its landmark 100th anniversary, a unique piece of Nashville history is moving from the stage to the auction block. Julien’s Auctions has once again partnered with the Opry — this time to offer a custom, stage-used microphone stand signed by global icon Dolly Parton, with all proceeds benefiting the Opry Trust Fund.

The Design: "Unmistakably Dolly"

The stand was specifically commissioned for the Opry’s centennial celebrations in 2025. Reflecting Parton’s signature aesthetic, the wooden column is wrapped in blue fabric and intricately decorated with pink and yellow butterfly motifs and hand-applied rhinestones.

The word "Opry" is painted in white down the sides, and the piece is authenticated by a plaque personally signed by Parton.

Provenance and Stage History

This custom commemorative item has been a working part of Opry history over the last year:

The Debut: Country star Carly Pearce first unveiled the stand in May 2025, during her Hummingbird tour at the Ryman Auditorium — the same stage where Dolly made her own Opry debut in 1959.

The 80th Birthday: Most recently, the stand was used on stage by various performers for "Opry Goes Dolly," a special event at the Opry House celebrating Parton’s 80th birthday.

Accompanying Archival Photo

The lot includes a framed 11" x 17" photograph captured by award-winning Opry photographer Les Leverett. The image holds significant historical weight, depicting Dolly Parton on the night of her formal Grand Ole Opry induction: January 4, 1969. It is printed on archival-grade paper and presented in a professional 16" x 22" black wood frame.

Supporting the Opry

The auction is a direct effort to support the Opry Trust Fund. Established in 1965, the fund serves as a financial safety net for members of the country music industry during times of crisis. To date, the fund has distributed over $5.7 million in aid, ensuring that the "Opry family" is cared for behind the scenes as well as on stage.
