Playboy: Forever Femlin
The excitement kicked off with the Playboy: Forever Femlin No Reserve auction, which was a masterclass in bidding enthusiasm. All 134 lots sold, delivering a 100% sell-through rate and total sales of $351,130.
The spotlight shined brightly on LeRoy Neiman’s iconic Femlin artwork, with every piece far surpassing its estimates. The highest-selling lot, Femlin Dressed as Spiderman, fetched an astonishing $10,400, while the Set of Two Drawings Celebrating Fourth of July followed closely at $6,500.
With 100% of the auction's offerings exceeding their high estimates, the demand for Neiman’s playful yet sophisticated illustrations remains unwavering, cementing Femlin’s status as a cultural icon.
Harry Belafonte: A Man of Action Part II
Next up on March 26 was Harry Belafonte: A Man of Action Part II, celebrating the activist and entertainer’s remarkable legacy. In a truly rare feat, this NO RESERVE auction achieved a 100% sell-through rate, with all 258 lots sold.
The most competitive bidding war erupted over the Antique "Spanish Pulpit" Type Chess Set, which emerged as both the most popular and most expensive lot, achieving $3,575 after 24 bids. Other notable highlights included Belafonte’s Wyler Incaflex Superior Wrist Watch ($2,925) and a Paul Robeson 75th Birthday Program featuring Belafonte’s handwritten notes ($1,625).
With nearly 75% of lots selling above their high estimates, the auction was a resounding tribute to Belafonte’s cultural and humanitarian contributions.
Bold Luxury: The Limelight Edit
Following Belafonte’s auction was the dazzling Bold Luxury: The Limelight Edit, a testament to the timeless appeal of couture, celebrity glamour, and high-end collectibles. This auction solidified the market’s voracious appetite for luxury goods.
The battle for the top lots was fierce, with Britney Spears’ 2001 Bob Mackie "Jubilee" Burlesque Ensemble leading the charge at $78,000 after 33 bids. Meanwhile, Cher’s iconic stage-worn "If I Could Turn Back Time" costume became the auction’s crown jewel, selling for an eye-popping $162,500.

Paul Oakenfold: Ready, Steady, Bid
Rounding out the week was the Paul Oakenfold: Ready, Steady, Bid auction, a celebration of the legendary DJ and producer’s personal collection. The event drew fierce competition. Fans and collectors alike eagerly vied for coveted pieces, including BPI Certified "Gold" Sales Awards, DJ memorabilia, and rare music collectibles.
The most sought-after lot by bid count was the BPI Certified "Gold" Sales Award for the Album "Essential Millennium", which hammered at $3,575 after 23 competitive bids. Meanwhile, the most expensive lot was a stunning Brigitte Bardot photo by Terry O’Neill, which commanded an impressive $11,700.
From custom-made leather jackets to Takashi Murakami prints and even a Diego Maradona-signed Argentina jersey, Oakenfold’s collection underscored his deep ties to music, fashion, and global culture. The event exceeded expectations, with a high percentage of lots soaring past their estimates, proving that the legacy of Oakenfold continues to resonate across generations.
