Despite the mixed critical reception "Missing in Action" received, it remains one of Norris' most popular films, and this artwork is a testament to its lasting impact.

Another notable lot from the same auction was the "Invasion U.S.A." Stan Watts Original Film Poster Artwork. The striking artwork, also an original airbrush on illustration board by Watts, is signed by Watts in the lower right, features Norris brandishing two rifles in the foreground, set against a chaotic backdrop of tanks and U.S. Army soldiers engaging in battle in front of the United States Capitol. It's a powerful and dynamic image that perfectly encapsulates the film's high-stakes action and Norris' undeniable presence.

And we can't forget the "Missing in Action 2: The Beginning" Stan Watts Original Film Poster Artwork, which sold for $4,480. This piece, also by Watts and signed in the center right, depicts Norris and his fellow POWs escaping a Vietnamese prison camp. The backstory of this film is fascinating – it was shot before "Missing in Action," as Cannon Films originally intended for it to be the first in the series. However, after viewing both films, Cannon heads Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus felt that "Missing in Action" was the stronger, more commercial film and chose to release it first. This resulted in "Missing in Action 2" being released as a prequel four months later. The artwork for this film is a beautiful and evocative reminder of Norris' versatility and his ability to bring depth to even the most action-packed roles.
