A c.2003 Zemaitis Superior Deluxe electric guitar, serial #AA0291, with inlaid mother of pearl top. Stage played by Joe Walsh on Eagles tour in 2004, notably during the Farewell I Tour which was filmed and later released as Eagles: Farewell I Tour Live From Melbourne in 2005. Joe plays the guitar on the song “Take It Easy” where the unique patterns of the dozens of mother of pearl blocks inlaid on the guitar’s top dance under the bright stage lights, making the guitar easy to identify.

A 2011 Collings 290 DCS solid body electric guitar, serial #11061, in tobacco sunburst finish. Played by Joe Walsh on tour in 2017, including the band’s first-ever performance at The Grand Ole Opry on October 29th of that year. The guitar is easily identifiable in photos by its unique wood grain.

A 1980s Godin LR Baggs Acousticaster model acoustic guitar, serial #1839, in black finish. Featured in a documentary on James Gang called Cleveland Class of ’70 originally broadcast on WEWS-TV in 1993 (see below). The documentary centers on the band reuniting for the first time in 20 years since splitting up in 1973. The Godin Acousticaster features in the documentary in the hands of both Joe Walsh and James Gang bassist Dale Peters at rehearsal.

A 2000s Republic Guitars Highway 61 Style 7111 resonator guitar, serial #00152, in Brass Rust finish. A 22 inch scale length round mahogany neck with a bound 19 fret rosewood fretboard with one star inlay at the 3rd fret, with dot inlays for the rest. A slotted headstock with antique style open gear tuners, a bone nut and an orange pearl headstock overlay. A single cutaway, 3 inch deep bell brass resonator body in Brass Rust finish, a diamond hole cover plate, and a maple saddle. Includes gig bag.

A 2006 Gretsch Stephen Stills 6136 ’58 White Falcon signature hollowbody electric guitar, serial #JT06020301, in aged white finish. Joe Walsh played this guitar on tour for a number of years, notably during the 2006 James Gang Rides Again Tour (click here) and onward including with the Les Paul Trio at The Iridium on October 18th, 2012.
It was also featured in the 2016 Walsh-produced documentary West of the West: Tales From California's Channel Islands wherein Joe plays a rendition of “Amazing Grace” on the guitar (see below).

A 2008 Epiphone Zack Wylde Les Paul Custom, serial #U07111603, in Bullseye finish. Stage Played by Joe Walsh on Eagles tour in 2008, notably at the band’s Long Road Out Of Eden Tour performances at the United Center in Chicago on September 24th and 25th of that year. A 24.75 inch scale length maple neck with a 22 fret bound and block-inlaid rosewood fretboard, gold Grover tuners, and a gold truss rod cover. The maple topped mahogany body is finished in Wylde’s signature Bullseye design, with gold hardware and a pair of EMG HZ pickups with a three way pickup selector switch and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. Includes an SKB molded hardshell case and a strap.

A 2004 PRS Modern Eagle Double Cutaway electric guitar, serial #4 91426, in natural. Stage played on tour by Joe Walsh including during his Musikfest 2007 performance in Bethlehem, PA.
The unique wood grain of this PRS is easily identifiable in concert footage and photographs thanks to a mushroom-shaped pattern located directly above the neck pickup. A 25 inch scale length mahogany Wide-Fat neck with a 10 inch radius rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, ripple abalone bird inlays, a rosewood headstock overlay, and six gold plated PRS Phase II locking tuners. A mahogany body with a highly figured quilt maple top finished in a thin natural satin nitrocellulose lacquer. Equipped with a gold plated wraparound bridge, a pair of Dragon II pickups, a three-way toggle switch, and master volume and tone controls. Includes black hardshell case five sets of SIT Power Wound 10 gauge strings, one set of GHS Boomer 11-50 strings, PRS paperwork, and 2 sets of plastic strap locks

A 25 inch scale length one-piece mahogany set neck with a 24 fret rosewood fretboard, abalone bird inlays, and a back-angled 3x3 PRS headstock with chrome plated PRS locking tuners. A mahogany body with a flame maple 10 Top finished in Red Flame, with cream plastics, black speed knobs, and a chrome PRS tremolo bridge. A Pair of Seymour Duncan SH1 pickups wired to a three way toggle selector switch and master volume and tone controls. Includes black hardshell case with a black interior, original paperwork, truss rod tool, strap, and tremolo arm.

A 1997 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Elegant electric guitar, serial #7 9848, in Honeyburst finish. Stage played by Joe Walsh at some point in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Includes an image of Joe Walsh playing the guitar onstage where its unique flame maple top and abalone trapezoid inlays match perfectly, though the guitar does have a different set of aftermarket pickups.

A 2014 Duesenberg Joe Walsh Signature semi-hollowbody electric guitar, serial #142361, in Walsh Gold Burst finish. Stage played by Joe Walsh on tour in 2014-2015, including at Kenny Chesney's The Big Revival 2015 Tour kick-off on March 26th, 2015 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.
A 25.5 inch scale length set maple neck with a bound 22 fret rosewood fretboard, Morse code inlays that spell "Joe Walsh", and locking Duesenberg tuners. The body has a laminate spruce top finished in gold burst, laminated maple back and sides finished in transparent brown, and multi-ply binding throughout. A mix of hardware plating on this model with gold plated pickup covers and nickel for the Tune-O-Matic style bridge, Duesenberg vibrato, knobs, and pickguard accent strip. A Duesenberg HSC Single Twin pickup in the neck position and a Little Toaster in the bridge position. Unlike most production versions, this one does not have the Tibetan knot design placed between the pickups, which makes it easy to identify in photographs and concert footage (see below). Includes original black Duesenberg hardshell case with black interior, string package sleeve, a Duesenberg first aid kit, extra neck pickup, and strap.

A 1994 Takamine CP-132 classical acoustic guitar, serial #940010037, in natural finish. Stage played by Joe Walsh for decades, notably during the band’s taping of MTV Unplugged in April of 1994. Joe played this classical style cutaway instrument for his exceptional guitar work in the acoustic version of “Hotel California”. He also used this guitar while performing at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards in 2012.
A 25.6 inch scale length set mahogany neck with a 19 fret rosewood fretboard, and a slotted headstock with six open-gear tuners. A single-cutaway body with a cedar top, rosewood back and sides, a rosewood bridge, and a single gold Schaller strap lock button on the neck heel. Equipped with the Takamine AccurAcoustic EQ. Includes a black molded hardshell case. The D string is broken.
A 2015 Ernie Ball Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci Majesty MAJ100 electric guitar, serial #J2566, in Crimson Red. Stage played by Joe Walsh at the Eagles first ever concert at the Grand Ole Opry House on October 29, 2017 (click here).
Made in Indonesia as an affordable alternative to the upmarket Music Man model, the Sterling MAJ100 features set neck construction with a 25.5” scale length Nyatoh neck with 24 frets on a rosewood fretboard with Majesty inlays. A 2x4 Ernie Ball headstock with chrome locking tuners. The Nyatoh body is finished in Crimson Red with a black chrome tremolo bridge, two ceramic humbucker pickups, a three-way toggle switch for pickup selection, an on-board active preamp with +12db of gain activated by a push-push master volume control, and a master tone. Includes molded Music Man Valentine hardshell case, a black strap with red and silver pinstripe stitching.

A c.2014 Unbranded Fender Esquire style guitar played by Joe Walsh at the 30th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (see below) with RIngo Starr & Friends featuring Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Gary Clark Jr., Billie Joe Armstrong, Tom Morello, and others (click here for photo).
The guitar is equipped with a 25.5 inch scale length solid graphite neck by Moses, Inc., with 22 frets, white dot inlays, and six chrome locking Gotoh tuners. An ash body finished in black with a white single-ply pickguard, a chrome control plate, and a chrome Fender ashtray Telecaster bridge with compensated saddles. Wired as a true Esquire with a single pickup and the three standard switch positions: neck is a dark tone circuit, middle is volume and tone as normal, and bridge takes the tone control out of the circuit. Includes a black hardshell case with black interior.

A 2002 Music Man Axis Super Sport HH Hardtail electric guitar, serial #G18912, in Black Sparkle. Stage played by Joe Walsh on Eagles tour for a number of years including the band’s performance at the Hop Farm Festival 2011 in Kent, England on February 2nd, 2011, and at the Fair Grounds Race Course on May 5, 2012 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
A 25.5” scale length birdseye maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fretboard, small dot inlays, the signature Music Man 2x4 headstock shape, and six chrome locking tuners. The basswood body has a maple top finished in Black Sparkle with a chrome hard tail bridge. Two DiMarzio humbucker pickups with controls for master volume, master tone, and a five-way blade selector switch. Includes molded Music Man hardshell case, a strap, a set of D’Addario Super Light Plus strings, and a Music Man warranty card.
