TIMELESS SHARON TATE Jax pants, Mary Quant’s jumper dress, bell-bottoms, mini-skirts, colors and prints inspired by the modern art movement at the time were all the rage as celebrity, super- model and fashion melded into one kaleidoscope movement. Actress Sharon Tate remains an icon of the 1960s fashion scene. A true movie star, her trademark style of teased hair, heavily made up eyes and California hippy chick comfort was imitated by freedom seeking newly liberated women all over the world. Now, with the advent of fashion blogs, social media influencers, online shopping, Pinterest and the much buzzed about connection between “Mad Men’s” Megan Draper and Tate, a new generation of Sharon Tate fans are keeping the star’s legacy alive.
