Want to buy the secrets behind the illusions of a legendary master magician or be the proud owner of a famous brontosaurus? JulienEntertainment.com, in association with Odyssey Auctions, will hold a special auction entitled "The Monsters & Magic Sale" on November 15th & 16th.

CyclopsMost appropriately scheduled for Halloween weekend, this frighteningly important event will feature some of the finest Sci-Fi, Horror Film, and Magic memorabilia ever brought to the auction block. Included amongst the many intriguing items in this sale is Boris Karloff's original contract to play the Monster in "Frankenstein"; components of Frankenstein's Laboratory; and the Brontosaurus model used in the opening scenes of the original King Kong film. Featured in this auction event will be an astonishing assortment of over 400 lots of props, costumes and memorabilia from the Harry Blackstone estate. Up for grabs at this sale will be many of Blackstone's legendary illusions, including the infamous Blackstone Buzz Saw, a trick that still remains a mystery to some of today's finest magicians.

The 1930's are universally acknowledged as the golden age of horror films. "Dracula", "Frankenstein", and "King Kong" thrilled audiences-- and continue to do so seventy years later. We are proud to present an extraordinary collection of props, posters, and memorabilia from some of the greatest horror classics of all time. Included are a brontosaurus model and props used in "King Kong", the spectacles worn by Edward Van Sloan as Dr. Helsing, the vampire hunter, in "Dracula", and personal effects from "The Man of 1000 Faces", Lon Chaney Sr. Moving into cinemas' future, there is even an actual piece of the "Death Star" from the original "Star Wars" (1977).

Boris Karloff Frankenstein Laboratory pictureFrom the estate of special-effects genius Kenneth Strickfaden comes the original laboratory equipment used to bring Boris Karloff to life in "Frankenstein". Other pieces of Strickfaden wizardry in this collection appeared in "Bride of Frankenstein", "Son of Frankenstein", "The Mask of Fu Manchu", "Chandu the Magician", the Universal Flash Gordon serials, "Dracula vs. Frankenstein" and Mel Brooks "Young Frankenstein".

Full color catalogs will be available for $15. In addition, this sale will also close live on the Internet through eBay Live Auctions. For further information or to order a catalog, please contact us.
